Built
on an area of 7000 m2, Zaitt
Factory
is located in Yadoudeh / Madaba, 20 km south of Amman, 15 km northeast of Mount Nebo - Mount
Nebo is believed to be the tomb of Moses, it
is a windswept hill, protecting the ruins of
a 4th and 6th century church whose floor is
still covered with marvelous mosaics - from
this location our olive oil story begins...
Our mature olives are
individually handpicked and brought to the
mill, where they are pressed the same day at
temperatures below 25°C to preserve the
unique freshness of the olive itself, in
addition the process adds to the oil's health
benefits (a higher percentage of antioxidant
polyphenols). This unique olive oil is
freshly packed preserving the distinct taste
of the Jordanian Olives, the taste of the
past, the taste of the oldest natural
ingredient in the world. The oil is then
stored in stainless steel tanks, and taken to
the laboratory where the oil undergoes
rigorous testing to ensure superior quality.
Only then the oil is packaged.

Alia Specialized Industries (Zaitt) is ISO &
HACCP certified. Accordingly we have
developed a quality and a food management
systems that complies with ISO 9002:2000 and
HACCP standards. Both systems are
continuously improved to ensure our
commitment to quality and safety of our oil
taking into consideration our customers’
expectations and requirements. Procedures
include, quality assurance, hygiene and
safety and are fully implemented covering raw
material supply, inspection, production of
oil in a hygienic environment, final testing
of produced oil, and finally packaging,
preservation and delivery to our customers.
Hazard analysis(HACCP) was conducted covering
the whole production, and Critical Control
Points were identified with proper corrective
and preventive actions to be taken when
deviation occurs from specified requirements.
A procedure for handling of customer
complaints and responding to their feedback
to ensure their full satisfaction is being
constantly applied as part of (HACCP) system.
